Sno Fun Days

February 12-14 2010

 

Come one, come all, to a great weekend of fun at the Hills Health Spa. Enjoy a weekend retreat or a great family getaway with District 7 Sons of Norway members.  It will be filled with outdoor activities and cultural fun. Upon arrival a weekend itinerary will be provided at the front desk.  Some of the planned activities include a horse sleigh ride and sing-along on Friday night; a scheduled tubing run competition for kids and adults on Saturday afternoon; followed by an evening at the Western Ball Room (a bartender will be available). Be sure to squeeze in time for all the wonderful spa treatments offered at The Hills during your weekend too!

 

As participants thoroughly enjoyed classes offered at Sno-Fun 2009, plans are underway to bring back instructors for folk dancing, hardangersom and rosemaling, again in 2010.  These activities will be held during the day on Saturday in the Western Ball Room.  If there is enough interest, a bridge tournament will also take place.

 

Information:

Date: Feb. 12 to 14, 2010 (2 nights, arriving Friday and leaving Sunday)

Number of chalets set aside: 10 (held until Dec. 12, PLEASE book prior to that date)

Cost: $157.00 per night + taxes for up to maximum 6 people per chalet

Deposit requested: $100.00 per chalet at time of booking

Western Ball Room: Saturday, Feb. 13, 2009 (booked all day until midnight:  daytime -- cultural activities; evening -- social gathering). A bartender will be there to serve you in the evening!!!)

Sleigh Ride: Tentatively booked for Friday night (a minimum of 15 people required)

Cost: Reduced rate of $18 per person + GST for adults and $9 per person for child 5 to 12

Sno Fun Registration Fee: $10 (payable to Jodie Engeseth on arrival)

When you call to book your room make sure you mention you are with Sons of Norway to get the reduced rate and to make sure they know you are part of the reservation or they may tell you they are full. Please book your sleigh ride when you call as well if you are interested as we require a minimum of 15 people.

 

If you are interested in sharing a chalet with other couples, it is a great way for couples and singles to save money and meet new people.

 

For all of you who plan to attend HERITAGE CAMP 2010, we are hoping to really encourage early signup this year. We will have all the information ready for the camp. Those that pre-register for Heritage Camp 2010 at the Sno-Fun Weekend will save the $10 Sno-Fun registration fee (bring cash or cheque).
